Trash, trash everywhere and not a drop to...

In early March, the Zeta Epsilon chapter of Tau Beta Sigma decided to take on an important mission. It was a mission of extreme difficulty: to clean and organize the TBS room. This may seem like an easy task, but it was far from it. On cleaning day #1, a few members volunteered to begin the cleanup. There was a lot of useless garbage cluttering up the already small room. Most of everything in the room was thrown away that could be, except of what was kept by Sarah Keeler and given to us as very interesting presents.

Everything in the room was sorted through and organized. Our room was looking better already. Also accomplished on this day, was the building of shelves for extra storage which was greatly needed. After a few long hours of discovering very old trash, such as Pepsi bottles from a time long ago when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a ‘new’ TV show, the first day of cleaning was complete. Cleaning day #2 occurred a few weeks later. All of the files and information in the room that was kept was organized and filed into the filing cabinet. We then began removing everything from the room to begin painting the walls. It may be a small room but it took quite a while to paint even with five people, or

maybe we were just slow. When the walls were covered in paint, as well as some of us, we began to move everything back in. As we piled everything in the middle of the room while the paint was drying, it looked almost as cluttered as it did when we started but we would soon be back for more as cleaning day #3 approached. The final day of our cleaning mission was here. After purchasing everything that we needed for the room for the day, as well as taking a break for lunch, we began to remove everything once again. To finish the new look of our room, we covered one of the walls with drill charts from the different shows that the Spartan Marching Band performed during this past season and we added an MSU border along the walls. Our new room was completely finished and ready for use.
