HO HO HO! Is that Santa I hear? Wait… Listen…It is coming from TBΣ South. That’s right, because on December 5, 2004 the Zeta Epsilon chapter of Tau Beta Sigma held there annual Christmas Party. However, instead of the typical pizza and breadsticks, this year the chapter decided to vary the food choices. Being the man that he is, our president, Nick was willing to bear the bitter cold while standing outside on his balcony as he cooked hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill. This meant that the chapter was going to enjoy a barbeque in December! Waiting impatiently inside as aromas from the balcony filled the room, the rest of the chapter enjoyed listening to Christmas music, playing games and simply talking amongst themselves.

After enjoying a fabulous dinner cooked by our own personal chef, dessert was served. All I can say is… WOW!! Since every member of the chapter was asked to bring some type of dessert, there were sweets everywhere. We all eat until we felt sick and were then ready for Santa to visit.

Being a Christmas Party, the chapter had previously set up a secret Santa gift exchange. Therefore, our Vice President, Sarah put on the Santa hat and proceeded to pass out the presents to the other members one by one.

As each person opened her/his gift she/he had three chances to guess who the gift was from. This made the whole gift exchange more fun and humorous for all.

After all the gifts were passed out and opened, the party continued with some of the sisters playing Dance Dance Revolution on Play Station 2. This provided entertainment for not only the players, but for everyone who was watching. If was funny to watch everyone jump around and make “fools” of themselves.

The night continued in this fashion, with games and a ton of laughter. Overall, the 2003 Christmas party was a huge successful and we all looked forward to next year’s festivities!
